2026 Rockwall Education foundation Designated Scholarship Recipients

Each year, the Rockwall Education Foundation has the privilege of investing in students as they prepare to take the next step toward their futures. Through the generosity of our donors and community partners, designated scholarships recognize students whose achievements, character, and aspirations reflect the values behind each award.
We are proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 Rockwall Education Foundation Designated Scholarships and celebrate the exciting paths that lie ahead for these outstanding graduates.
Scott Self Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2021, the Scott Self Memorial Scholarship honors students pursuing careers in the skilled trades while embodying Scott's belief that hard work is one of the greatest keys to success.
This year's recipients are Brennan Hejny and Dillon Powell!
Brennan will attend Texas State Technical College, where he plans to pursue certifications in Electrical Construction and Solar Technology.
Dillon will attend WyoTech and pursue a career in Automotive Technology and Custom Fabrication.
The Rockwall Education Foundation is proud to support these students as they enter industries that play a vital role in our communities and workforce.
Trast Family BBQ Scholarship
The Trast Family BBQ Scholarship is awarded exclusively to a senior who has been a member of the 205 Pitmasters program for at least two years and demonstrates leadership, dedication, and service.
This year marks the inaugural presentation of the scholarship, and we are honored to recognize Emma Victoria as its first recipient.
Emma will attend Texas A&M University, where she plans to study Flood Modeling and Environmental Analysis.
Her commitment to excellence, leadership, and service makes her a fitting recipient of this inaugural award, and we look forward to seeing all she accomplishes in the years ahead.
Todd Freeman Memorial Scholarship
Established in 2020, the Todd Freeman Memorial Scholarship recognizes graduating seniors from Rockwall High School's golf team who have demonstrated excellence both on and off the golf course.
This year's recipients are Hudson Green, Brynn Rice, and Van Leugers.
Hudson will attend The University of Texas at Dallas to study Business.
Brynn will attend The University of Texas at Tyler, where she plans to pursue a degree in Finance.
Van will attend The University of Oklahoma to study Accounting.
These students have distinguished themselves through their dedication, sportsmanship, and academic achievement, and we are proud to support them as they begin the next chapter of their educational journeys.
